About Breathwork

Breathwork is a deliberate engagement with the breathing process, often employed for relaxation, meditation, or therapeutic purposes. It aims to alleviate tension within our physical, mental, and emotional selves.

Originating from indigenous cultures, the term 'breathwork' now includes a plethora of practices, from yogic breathing and stress-relief techniques to oxygen-enhancement exercises and methods to invoke deeper consciousness states.

As a breathwork facilitator with expertise in yoga and meditation, I incorporate diverse breathing techniques to foster overall well-being for my clients. Primarily, I focus on conscious connected breathwork, aiding in therapeutic healing, insight, and self-awareness.

In a session, participants are guided through a three-stage breath cycle: a two-step inhalation into the abdomen and chest, followed by a relaxed exhale. Participants are encouraged to modify this pattern as they explore the nexus between breath and physical sensation. Opportunities to hold the breath, rest, or exhibit physical expressions are also provided. My role is to guide, using verbal prompts, optional tactile feedback, and energy alignments. A thoughtfully selected soundtrack assists in diving deeper into one's being.
